Balmoral Tanks has designed a unique vortex inhibitor (VI) which provides ‘significant improvements’ over existing market options.
Sprinkler systems require fast flowing volumes of water and VI’s play a vital role by preventing air being drawn into the system which ultimately reduces the flow rate; a highly undesirable situation should a fire occur.
Approved to LPCB LPS 2070 and BSEN 12845 standards, the new inhibitor provides an impressive 30% reduction in pump suction requirements.
The unique low profile design of the Balmoral VI also results in the effective capacity of sprinkler tanks being increased by up to 2.2%.
