A new partnership between MDM Publishing Ltd (publishers of International Fire Fighter, Asia Pacific Fire, Gulf Fire, UK Fire and International Fire Protection) and Hazmat Academy (part of Ricardo’s National Chemical Emergency Centre (NCEC)) will see them working together to provide first responders with an enhanced level of knowledge and understanding of hazardous materials.
Ed Sullivan, Hazmat Academy Manager, said: ‘NCEC has been supporting category 1 response organisations since 1973. Our mission is to ensure that anyone responding to incidents involving hazardous materials can do so safely, effectively, competently and confidently. We are delighted to be partnering with MDM Publishing, media leaders in the fire and safety industry. We hope that the relationship will allow us to reach many more responders and support them with their hazmat training requirements.’
Commenting on the partnership announcement David Staddon, MDM Director, said: ‘I am delighted that we are now able to formally announce our agreement with the Hazmat Academy to become their global media partner. We have been working with the NCEC for many years as media partners to their annual Hazmat conference and this new partnership will provide the Hazmat Academy with an extended reach through our print magazines and websites.’
