Midlands based fire safety firm, S2 Fire Solutions, has achieved BAFE accreditation after flying through the scheme’s rigorous audits last month.
BAFE SP203-1 accreditation is often the best way for businesses and companies to ensure that they employ competent firms to work on their fire alarms. With no current law stating who can or cannot work on fire alarm systems, the accreditation scheme aims to seek an end to underqualified electricians and untrained persons working on systems as vitally important as fire alarm systems.
S2 Fire Solutions have flown through the accreditations for five years in a row, with SSAIB (a third party certification body used for BAFE SP203-1 accreditation) visiting the firm every year to ensure that all required standards and criteria for the accreditation are met. The accreditation is classed as ‘modular’, meaning that most companies may only be accredited in one area. S2 Fire Solutions have been accredited in all modules in the scheme, including the design, installation, commission, handover and maintenance of fire alarm systems in the UK.
Helen Jackson, marketing manager at S2 Fire Solutions said, “We’re really proud of our team. We have all worked so hard in order to make sure that all of our systems run like a well-oiled engine in order to pass the SSAIB’s rigorous audits. As we strive to ensure we continuously meet the requirements of British Standard and BAFE SP203-1 whilst remaining customer focussed, it’s an incredible feeling to know we are achieving this year after year. We’re looking forward to making the most of our accreditation and seeing what 2017 has in store for our business”.
